At UECS, we use PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to create a positive, predictable, and safe school environment where every student can thrive. Throughout the day, we teach, model, and celebrate what it looks like to be Tiger Ready by showing three core values:
-
BE SAFE: Making choices that keep our minds and bodies protected.
-
-
BE KIND: Treating our classmates, teachers, and school spaces with care and respect.
-
-
BE RESPONSIBLE: Taking ownership of our actions, materials, and routines.

How Families Can Help: Our Bus Lane Safety Freeze!
Right now, we are placing special emphasis on safety during arrival and dismissal. One of our most important rules is that whenever buses are moving in the bus lane, all students and adults must FREEZE and stay still until a staff member gives the all-clear.
You can support our school community at home by talking with your child about why this rule matters:
-
Talk About It: Remind your child that "freezing" keeps them out of danger and helps drivers see everyone clearly.
-
Practice at Home: Make it a game! Practice stopping instantly on command when walking near cars, parking lots, or street corners.
-
Reinforce the Message: Freeze your own body when you walk near our buses or in your neighborhood while large vehicles are moving.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our youngest learners safe, confident, and ready to learn every single day!
